My greatest passion is telling powerful, emotional stories with heart, humor, and hope.
My creative journey has taken me from founder of a pioneering femme-driven digital studio from 2010-2015 to WGA screenwriter to emerging writer/director.
As a screenwriter, I always start with a character and their emotional journey . . . the rest unfolds from there. When I write, I open a window to another world and bring my audience through it. I especially love to tell science fiction and magical realism stories that are deeply grounded in both authentic emotion and metaphysical questions about who we are and why we’re here.
As a director, my deepest creative fulfillment comes from my relationship with my actors. There’s something about the bond we create, the artistry they bring to their performances, and how they become the channels for the emotions I want to express that just can’t be explained. These days, I’m working on sharpening my visual style to match my otherworldly instincts.
As a producer, I’ve championed many diverse voices and been a source of support and guidance to all kinds of emerging artists. At this time, I’m focused on my own writing and directing, but I often dream about founding my own studio again and funding the work of artists I believe in. Stay tuned for that!
